This is for a Distrcit-wide Para-professional who will assist students experiencing behavior difficulties.
PAY GRADE 4 - SALARY RANGE = $18.
10/HR - $21.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Minimum of 48 college hours required Valid Texas educational aide certificate (can apply once recommended for hire) Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to de-escalate verbally and physically aggressive students Ability to work with children with disabilities Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively Knowledge of general office equipment Ability to conduct instruction and/or attend meetings and professional development, and make and receive phone calls in a virtual or remote workplace environment.
1.
Work with individual students to provide positive behavior supports for students on behavior intervention plans.
2.
Work with individual and small groups of students to reinforce the instruction provided by the general education teacher in an inclusive setting or by the special education teacher in the specialized setting.
3.
Provide support in a general education classroom to assist special education students to become as independent as possible.
4.
Assist classroom teachers in accommodating materials to meet the individualized needs of the student(s).

Keep Behavior Specialist informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
6.
Help Behavior Specialists and teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.

Help manage behavior of students.
This includes intervening in crisis situations and restraining disruptive or dangerous student behavior 8.
Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student's special medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.
9.
Assist students throughout the school day (inside and outside the classroom), including cafeteria, to / from bus, during transitions, and other unstructured settings.
10.
Assist students with physical disabilities according to their needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, or positioning.
11.
Assist students with physical needs and personal care, including feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene.
12.
Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom Other 13.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
14.
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
15.
Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Successfully advances district initiatives.

Maintain emotional control under stress.
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling; regular heavy lifting of students.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
