Blue Cypress Design Build, a renowned custom home builder specializing in residential remodels and new construction, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will work closely with the senior project manager to ensure the successful execution of construction projects by gathering and verifying all job estimates.
Your meticulous approach and analytical skills will be critical in maintaining project accuracy and efficiency.
Key
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the senior project manager to gather and verify all job estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for accurate pricing and bid proposals.
Review and evaluate cost estimates, providing recommendations to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Work closely with the project management team to coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Support the senior project manager in project planning, organizing, and tracking project progress.
Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, contracts, and change orders.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of project-related information to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in construction estimating and project management is an advantage.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Knowledge of local building codes and development standards is a plus.
